Skellums was formed because there was nothing else left to do.
Skellums DO NOT want to join the long list of bands who have success but have nothing to say.
Skellums fell together through necessity, tired of the music industry, they set up their own record label, Rent & Debt Records,
and decided to take on the world. One little venue at a time.
Underneath all the dirty guitars and pounding drums, there lives a pop song. Skellums believe, that as long as you have a decent melody, you can get away with all manner of noise.
The Loonbats where formed in 1995 playing the local pub circuit with Rock Cover Versions and Own Originals, the band played the local circuit up to the Millennium. After a major gap The Band reformed a couple of years ago to play a surprise birthday gig, this went down a storm and reignited the passion and enjoyment to playing to a live audience once again, the band decided to reform to gigging once again.
We hope you all enjoy The Bfestival and Have A Great Weekend.
Many Thanks From The Loonbats.
Anthony Jones started his musical journey while still at Chef School, achieving cult status with his first project ‘Yesterday’s Sausage’.
After an ultimately unsuccessful stint as front man with local legends Housefly, he became disillusioned with the music industry and went underground, recording, producing and self releasing seven experimental albums under the moniker ‘the Porcine Funk Collective’.
Itching to have another crack at the big time, he formed Five Meats and the Butcher’s Dozen.
After another catastrophic failure and much soul searching, he has re-emerged from his darkest period with a more achievable aim of performing short sets of covers to intimate gatherings of his most loyal fans.
Prepare for a 20 minute journey through the world of ageing mediocrity, and please be kind. He’s trying his best.
Two Black Sheep are Amy Chalmers (Violin, Vocal) and Ian Davies (Guitar, Vocal). The duo released their debut album “Coffee & Gin” in October 2016 and have become a well-known fixture on the acoustic circuit. Whilst their recordings are full band and orchestrated, almost all live shows are stripped back versions of original songs with some eclectic cover versions. The duo also perform live with a string quartet and occasionally as a four piece band. Currently recording their second album for a 2018 release and a new single planned for June, Two Black Sheep continue to build on their successful debut.
“When these two musicians share a bit of themselves with each other and us, they get to the heart of the matter…it’s the sound that touches your heart.” Liverpool etc.
